CCM / chassis test in Dubai: what it is & when you need it

Been told you need a "CCM" or chassis test? Here is what it actually is, when the RTA requires it, and how to get it handled without the hassle.

If someone at the RTA or a garage has told you your car needs a "CCM," it can sound alarming — but it's a standard check. Here's what it means.

What CCM stands for

CCM = Chassis Checking Machine. It's an RTA-certified inspection where your car is placed on an approved machine that checks the chassis — the car's underlying frame or "skeleton" — to confirm it's structurally sound and meets RTA standards. You receive an official report with the result.

What it checks

The CCM test looks at the integrity and alignment of the chassis and structural body — for example whether the frame is straight, undamaged, and free of serious corrosion or badly repaired accident damage.

When you need a CCM test

Commonly required for
  • Used cars, before registration, transfer or sale
  • Cars repaired after an accident
  • Salvaged or rebuilt vehicles
  • Any case where the RTA wants to confirm the chassis is sound

How to get it done

We take your car to an approved chassis-checking centre, get the CCM test completed, and return it with the official report — door to door. Our service fee is AED 1,499, with any government fees confirmed and added at cost.
