- Body panels & paint — mismatched colour or uneven gaps can mean past accident repair
- Tyres — even wear, date codes, matching brands
- Interior & electronics — AC, windows, screens, warning lights
- Under the bonnet — leaks, corrosion, fluid levels
- Test drive — braking, steering pull, gearbox, strange noises
- Service history & VIN/chassis number match
- Outstanding fines or Salik registered against the car
